Defining Purpose In The Wake Of La Rambla
On August 17, 2017, a terrorist drove a van down the pedestrian center of La Rambla in Barcelona, Spain, killing 13 people. I had sat at a cafe along his route hours earlier, and continue to question how and why I was permitted to avoid tragedy while others did not. And the answers to those questions continue to shape an understanding of my purpose.
